LAMBETH LANCERS ROCK ETOBICOKE PINK THE RINK TOURNAMENT
At the 2nd largest GIRLS HOCKEY TOURNAMENT IN THE WORLD - Three periods couldn't solve it, 4 on 4 OT couldn't solve it, 3 on 3 OT couldn't solve it, but Evalyn G. and Carlee J. could!
With the final Shoot Out attempt for Lambeth; Evalyn G. scored the first goal in the SO and Carlee "Big Rig" J. shut the door again on the Carleton Place Cyclones to win the Championship for Lambeth!
The girls went 5-0 in this premiere tournament with 18 GF and 5 GA. They faced three teams from the Ottawa area and one from Sudbury. The competition was much better than anything we had faced up to this point and the girls were up to the challenge. Several girls played hurt and everyone showed great sportsmanship. It was a great learning and team building experience and we got a really nice banner too!
Leading scorers were Meghan "Ninja" B. and Samantha M. and after our win we walked over to the 2nd pad and watched the PeeWee's win too!
