Bantam B Girls Earn Silver at B.A.D. Tournament!

Lambeth Bantam Girls fought extremely hard but came up just short of winning another championship at the
B.A.D. Girls Tournament this past weekend...
Our highly successful 2019/20 season which already includes two golds and a silver at previous tournaments, continued this past weekend with our girls losing to a very good Brantford team in the final. The team went undefeated in the round-robin stage en route to the elimination semi-final. Regulation time couldn’t solve this one so they go to sudden-death OT. With OT providing a barrage of shots from the Haldimand Rivercats, our brick wall we call Tearzy shut the door long enough for our big-game hunter Burky scoring a behind the net wrap-around beauty to send us to the finals.
The finals saw the tourney favourite Lancers go into uncharted waters falling down 2-0 late in the first period. This group of special players never gives up though, and they respond by tying the game mid way through the third period on snipes from Abbers and Downy! That’s as close as it gets though with Brantford scoring a beauty in the last 3 minutes and then cementing victory with an empty netter to take gold.
We can’t win them all girls!
