Atom LL2 Tournament Champs!
The Atom LL2 Lancers competed in the Gene Harrington Winter Ice Experience Tournament in Buffalo/Niagara Falls NY over the past weekend.
The team was pumped up and ready to roll as they started out with a big win over North Toronto. The next two games were tough contests and the team was excited as these games were played on outdoor rinks at The Riverworks in downtown Buffalo. The boys played hard and were able to remain undefeated after wins over St. Catherines and Don Mills. This set up a final with a very tough St. Catherines team that was nothing short of heart stopping. A tight, hard fought game saw the Lancers pull ahead 3-2 with 4:30 remaining. With a man in the box very late in the game and the goalie pulled, they withstood the 6 on 4 attack and brought home the title! It was a great weekend of teamwork, hard work and sportsmanship for our Lancers.
