Thinking about volunteering this fall with your players
team? As many past volunteers know, completing the necessary coursework and police check
can take time. Get a head start on your certifications and/or re-certifications!
Many of our younger age groups require multiple coaches and all teams require certified positions on each team roster. If you love giving back to your community and making a difference, then this is a great opportunity to get involved. We welcome coaches of all levels and abilities. All bench staff are required to complete coursework.

Please reach out to your players Convenor to determine if there is still a need for coaches/managers/asst coaches/trainers for your players’ team. MHAL reimburses some of the training costs – please contact us for more details.
POLICE CHECKS
As required by OWHA/OMHA all volunteers must hold a valid police check. To complete a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), please click on the link below for the online London Police application.

Please note there is a $15 fee for requesting a PVSC. This fee is not reimbursed by MHAL.
Proof of initiating the PVSC application is required within two weeks of the volunteer position appointment. Team rosters cannot be approved if bench staff members do not hold a valid PVSC. Please forward your PVSC application received notification email, to Christa Fisher at [email protected]. Once you receive your PVSC, the original copy can be given to Christa Fisher or to the appropriate Convenor.
