Team Trip to Cornell University Ithaca, New York
Our Novice girls team travelled to Cornell University in Ithaca New York February 17 - 19.  Alumni Lambeth Lancer Amanda Mazzotta, whose niece Lauren daSilva plays for our novice team, is the starting goalie for Cornell! She was honoured this weekend on Seniors Night for being the most winningest goalie in Cornell history, among many other awards.

The girls and their families took in two Cornell Women's hockey games, and watched them clinch the ECAC trophy.  Our Novice girls were given a tour of the dressing room, met an Olympic Gold Medalist, and a few future Olympians! The Novice girls played two games against the Ithaca Shooting Stars. The Shooting Stars is a girls team made up of 8 - 12 year olds. The Lancers won the first game 2-1, and Arianna Santagapita scored her 50th goal!! The Lancers tied Ithaca in game 2, 1-1. This weekend was the highlight of our season so far, with lots of bonding time for players, and parents! This weekend gave our girls an opportunity to see an Ivy League school, watch NCAA division 1 hockey, and meet some of the top scholar-athletes in America.
