MHAL Competitive Fees Due - ASAP
Competitive Fee information provided by the MHAL Executive...

2011-2012 MHAL Competitive Fees -- The What, When, Why and How

Players that make a competitive team are required to pay $185.00 to MHAL to offset costs associtated with:
  1. Longer regular season schedule than LL which requires more ice and referee costs.
  2. Competitive season starts about 5 weeks earlier than LL and although tryout fees offset some of the costs, they do not offset the entire cost.  The argument being a nominal fee can only be paid seeing as a player may only get 2 skates when there are ususally 6-10 during this period.
  3. Competitive teams play in both Shamrock (league) and OMHA playdowns.  Lambeth teams are permitted to play in both as long as they are eligible resulting in up to 30 playoff games if teams are successful.
  4. None of these fees were collected at time of registration and all parents must pay these amounts.

MHAL does not require that team Coaches and Managers enter into the collection business.  Make every effort to collect all the fees that are now due.  Place them in an envelope with a list of who they are from.  We have received an envelope with an amount of cash that does not add up and cheques.  This is no good.

If parents wish to post date cheques; attach a note with a promise to pay at a later date -- that is fine however without some sort of indication that they are paid or even willing to pay, we can't let them play.

Please collect these funds and place them in the envelope and hand them to Tanya Adams, Dave Irwin, Mike Stenning or Fred Bauer.

Thanks and feel free to forward this email to parents for explanation...
