Jets Get Cooled by Lancers
The Lancers played back to back games on Saturday night, and hoped a big win over Dorchester on Friday didn't produce a hangover as Ilderton came to town. The Lancers didn't miss a beat as they imposed their will over the Jets for most of the game enroute to a 6 -1 win.
Cole Chilvers opened the scoring in the first stanza with Kyle Mackay and Dan Sadler getting the helpers. Mackay scored the second tally of the game 4 minutes later with Garret Doxtator assisting. The rest of the Lancer offence came from the red hot line of Haruta, Waller, and Hilborn. Nick Hilborne closed out the scoring in the first period with an unassisted effort. Zach Waller scored the lone Lambeth goal of the second, with Sadler and Dylan Nash assisting. The Lancers continued their dominance in ther third as Ryan Haruta scored twice on feeds from Jarvis Millard and Casey Coyle.
With 3 games in 3 nights on tap for the weekend, Ian Gough got a well deserved rest on Saturday night. Scott Sullivan took the reins from Ian and showed no signs of the nerves as he turned aside 19 shots, with nothing but one screen shot beating him on the night.
