Rangers Rally
Lambeth was looking to notch their 6th consecutive victory on Sunday night in Belmont. With Ian Gough away for the weekend A/P goaltender Scott Sullivan was called on to thwart the Rangers, who had been winless since October 2nd.

The Lancers again surrendered the opening goal in the first period, only to reply back 2 minutes later on a solo effort by Cole Chilvers. Bryant Francis gave Lambeth the first period lead on a blast from the blue line with just 0.4 seconds remaining on the clock. Another boomer from the blue line courtesy of Ryan Gough gave the Lancers a commanding 3 - 1 lead halfway through the second period, and the visitors seemed poised to run away with the game.

However the tiny ice surface in Belmont negated some of the advantage the superior skating Lancers hoped to enjoy. The Rangers replied 12 seconds later on a power play goal to narrow the margin to 3 - 2. Casey Coyle authored the highlight of the night, when he deked around every Ranger on the ice only to miss the open net. Never a quitter, Casy calmly collected his rebound, circled the end zone, and then performed the exact same feat. Unfortunately for Casey the outcome of both sorties were the same.

Liam Baughman restored the 2 goal Lancer lead before the flood by converting an offering from Zach Waller and Nick Hilborn. A large power play advantage for the home team Rangers tilted the scales in the third as Belmont rallied to score 2 power play goals, only to be denied by another goal from the Lambeth blue line as Nick Lorusso recorded the game winner on another Zach Waller feed.

Lambeth hits the road next Saturday night when they make the trek down the 401 to Wallaceburg.
