Third Period Play, Key To Victory
The first two periods in today's game vs the Dorchester Dragons was not the style of game we have become a custom to.  The team did not finish checks, were losing puck battles along the boards and certainly did not seem like a team that wanted to play.  After two periods the team was down 2-1 with Kyle Kenny scoring the lone Lancer goal.  With the coaching staff addressing some key issues during the 2nd period intermission, the result was a much better performance.

Nick "the Janitor" Brown was once again cleaning up the left overs in front of the net and tied the game 4 minutes into the 3rd.  Kurtis Van Dommelen with some dangling moves, buried a wrist shot bar down to put the Lancers up 3-2.  With the team down two players with less than 2 minutes left, the determination of the penalty killing unit and great saves by goaltender Robert Carter was enough to secure the win.  Next up for the Lancers is the Nottawasaga Tournament.
