Lambeth Set for Playoffs
Shamrock has come to an end.  Silverstick is far away, floating in a distant memory.  Our last game against Ilderton is a complex ball of mystery, shrouded in a blanket of disbelief, wrapped in a blanket of forgetfullness (alright we lost 3-1, but it was a character builder).  So let us, dear readership talk of positive things to come, gather ye yonder around the hearth and I'll spin you a yarn about a 7-0 victory over St. Thomas.  Or just give you the stats.........

There was jump in the legs of all the Lancers and the Great Wall shutout the Stars, Coach Jack stating, "This is the kind of effort we need in the coming playoffs.  If we get it, we'll be a tough team to beat."  Simon Moir scored his 50th of the season, thereby breaking the Moir Family Record for goals in a career (OMHA or beer league) by 48. Moir would finish the night with 3 goals and 1 assist.  Other scorers on the night included Charlie Graham (plus one assist), Isaac Irwin, who also had 3 assists and Cameron Reif and Josh Troop.  Helpers on the night went to Dylan Dundas, Cole Smale, Noah Nelson, who all had 2, and Matteo Santag "oh my goodness"apita with one.  The team also surpassed the goal mark of 260 on the year and enter the playoffs having scored 265.  But as Coach Pudge attests, "defence wins championships and also gets the ladies.  Furthermore candlesticks always make a nice gift and the DH should be outlawed."  Who knew?  It looks like the defence corps of Kelly, Smale, Basilio, Slota, Milne and new addition Reif is set and ready and "The great wall of Ty-Na" is playing the best hockey of his young career.  So fans get ready, Mt. Brydges awaits!
