First Try-out Monday May 9
Welcome all families to the Lambeth Lancers Peewee try-outs. Our ice time is 8:30 PM (a late one!) and please be sure to check in at least 30 minutes prior to our scheduled ice time. We have been provided pinnies so players will need to have a practice jersey and water bottle for each of the sessions. At this point I have no plan to dismiss players from any of the sessions therefore plan to attend all 3 and be sure to let me know if there are any conflicts, as some have already.
The plan for each session will go as follows
Session 1
15% Skating drills
15% Skills Drills (shooting and passing)
30% Battle drills
40% Scrimmage
Session 2
20% Skating and skills drills
20% Battle drills
60% Scrimmage
Session 3
100% Scrimmage
(drills will be included if necessary)
I will be bringing in evaluators to score the sessions. The evaluators are hockey people who have done this before and I will trust their better judgement to help make this process as fair as possible for all. If you require feedback following the session I will certainly provide this. Once the final roster is posted I will only review requests for feedback 24 hours following the announcement.
