Welcome to the 2022-2023 Season!
The MHAL Executive is excited to welcome our Lancer family back for another season of hockey!!

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the seasonal information below. Your convenor and/or coaches will reach out with further introductions and information in the coming weeks once teams are finalized.

September Ice Schedule

The September ice schedule has now been posted - dates/times are subject to change so please ensure you subscribe and/or continue to check the website prior to attending any skates.  There is a lot going on for the month so please make yourself aware of all the different ice times! Information regarding funding programs, mandatory hockey equipment, and team schedules can all be found on the website. All Members of the MHAL, including parents, players and volunteers are required to familiarize themselves with, and abide by all MHAL policies, including the MHAL Code of Conduct. The documents can be found on our website home page on the right under Online Libraries.

As per the requirements from Hockey Canada for certain age groups, there is also pre-season skates posted on the schedule. Skates are free of charge, and do not have a capacity limit.  They are open to EVERYONE in the indicated division.  There is NO signup for these sessions, you will show up and participate in the skate scheduled for your applicable division. These are not mandatory skates, nor are they meant to be evaluative in nature – only to knock the rust off your blades.

Gate Fees

As noted in in season closing remarks earlier in the year, OMHA has notified its associations that there will be NO gate fees charged for the 2022/2023 season.

Volunteers Needed

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers. Make a difference in your community and volunteer with us - many different opportunities are available including Girls OWHA Convenor and PVSC Coordinator.  Please reach out if you are interested.

The success of our organization depends solely on the support of our many volunteers, on and off the ice! As a reminder, our volunteers are also individuals who hold jobs, manage their households, and have many other responsibilities.  Please be patient with us as we balance work, home and extracurricular responsibilities for our own families as well as our community.

Tryouts

Tryouts are noted on the calendar as well as the ‘Rep Tryout’ tab. Convenors will reach out to those registered for tryouts prior to the date with further details. If you indicated your player would not like to tryout then keep watching the website for further dates once rep tryouts have concluded.

PLEASE NOTE!! If you did not add the tryout fee at time of registration, your child's name will not be on the tryout list and they will be ineligible to tryout. Please ensure you have registered in advance Hockey Canada (Boys), Ramp (Girls) – reach out to the Registrar(s) if you would like to add a tryout fee to your players account.

We are looking forward to an awesome season!
