Lambeth came up against an old foe, St Marys Rock in its first game in the Tillsonburg Tournament and lost 1-0 in an exciting game. Andrew Harris, in goal for the Lancers stopped 24 of 25 shots and was awarded the Game MVP in a losing cause.
Lambeth's second game was a a much stronger effort winning 4-2 against Hespler and outshooting the opposition 27 to 13. Goals by Ryan Haruta, Liam Baughman, Cole Chilvers and an empty net tally by Nick North with 33 seconds remaining. Nick North was also awarded the Game MVP.
In the Semi-finals against Aylmer, Justin McDougall (Game MVP) scored 2 goals with singles going to Kyle Mackay and Jarvis Millard. Nick North had 3 assists and had another strong game. Lambeth will now play St Mays in the finals.
The Championship game unfortunately, was all Rock as they scored 4 unanswered goals in the 2nd period to win the final 4-1. The two teams were tied 0-0 after the first and Lambeth actually outscored St Marys in the third when Liam Baughman scored to break the shutout but it was the second period that was the downfall for Lambeth.
