2010-2011 Skill Development Sessions
Lambeth Minor Hockey is committed to making each players early hockey experience in Novice as fulfilling as possible.
During the 2010-11 season there will be regular sessions offered to help further develop/increase each player’s base skill levels.
When is the second on ice session scheduled?
The program will be a 10 week block on Sunday mornings starting 8:15am at Nichols arena.
Session 2: January 9th – March 13th, 2011

Numbers will be limited to 35, so you are encouraged to register early. Please bring payment to the Jan. 9th session.
How much does it cost?
Cost is $75 per player. (Approx. 10 hours of ice)

Cheques made out to "Minor Hockey Association Lambeth"
What arena will the sessions be at?
The sessions will be held at Nichols Arena on Sunday mornings @ 8:15-9:15
Who is eligible to participate?
The program is open to all registered 2010-2011 Lambeth Minor hockey players (LL, AE and Competitive) in the Novice boys and girls age groups.
Who is instructing/leading the sessions?
All sessions will be delivered by current Lambeth Minor Hockey coaches.
Why is this program being offered?
Lambeth Minor Hockey is committed to making each player’s experience as fun, fulfilling and rewarding as possible.
The goal of this program is to offer an opportunity for players to participate in skill based drills delivered in a fun, yet challenging atmosphere.
What is the program comprised of?
Development sessions will be comprised of drills designed to increase player skill levels in areas such as:
- Skating:
- Stance, starts, stride, stops, edges, pivots, backwards…
- Passing:
- Give/take (static and moving)….
- Stick handling:
- Hand position, dribble, hand expansion/contraction…
- Shooting:
- Hand position, wrist & backhand….
What happens if there is a conflict between my child’s regular season hockey games and practices and a hockey development session?
Sunday has been selected for Hockey Development to avoid conflicts with regular season games and practices. There is NO GUARANTEE that players will be able to attend all hockey development sessions.
