Girls - U18 Midget B Girls - Fire on Ice Tourney Champs!
Submitted By Chris Metron on Wednesday, November 13, 2019
Lambeth Midget B Girls team are the champions for the Fire and Ice tournament on November 1-3.

The weekend started with a 6am departure on a team bus from Lambeth Arena - destination - Rochester, New York.  The girls dominated in the round robin games winning the first three games against teams from Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York. Then they had a loss again local Stoney Creek only to set up a Re-match for the semi-final!!

The Sunday morning semi-final versus Stony Creek was the best game of the weekend. The girls showed up to play!! Backstopped by our fabulous goalie, Carlee Johnston, and quarterbacked by our patient and talented defence core, they dominated the game, and didn’t give Stony Creek a chance! It was a 3-1 win and onto the next game.... the finals versus Brantford. This is where our fabulous forwards took over. They showed great hustle, fancy shooting as well as awesome passing and they beat Brantford 5 -0 for the Championship!!

The girls dedicated their play to bus driver George, and with the support of our hotel restaurant cheerleader, 70 yr old "Flo", they brought the Championship hardware home!! Keep an eye out for this team, bigger and better successes are in their future.
