Covid Protocol Reminders
Hello Lancers! As you may be aware, there have been COVID-19 cases reported at two local schools, Lambeth and Kensal Park, that may affect some of our hockey families.
If an unvaccinated member of your household has received notification from the MLHU that they are a close contact and must self-isolate, DO NOT COME TO HOCKEY until the clearance date listed on your MLHU letter. This includes ANY unvaccinated members of the household.
If your player misses an evaluation or try-out skate due to this or illness, accommodations will be made. Please reach out to your Convenor.
Other things to keep in mind:
some feedback from our first few days on ice
- Masks are mandatory and must be worn properly and securely the entire time you are in the building
- Health Screening Forms must be filled out for each person, and given to the City employee or screener - no exceptions
- Outside food and/or drinks are not permitted. Only labelled water bottles for skaters
- City employees and volunteers are doing their jobs - they don't make the rules, but they must enforce them. Please be respectful of this.
As a reminder, the ability to be able to watch our children on ice is a privilege - not a right. If last year taught us anything, its that this could be taken from us at any point if we don't follow the rules. It is imperative that we continue to adhere to the COVID-19 protocol and the recommendations of the MLHU to keep our association members healthy and on the ice!
