IMPORTANT: COVID Arena Protocol Update
Submitted By Shannon Conliffe on Monday, October 25, 2021
Hello Lancers,

Please take note of some important changes to City of London arena protocol, effective immediately.

With the provincial announcement on Friday, as of Monday October 25, 2021 the following restrictions will be lifted:

  • Capacity limits in dressing rooms and on the ice surface are removed
  • Showers in the dressing rooms will now open over the next few days as they get water turned on, inspected and disinfected
  • Outside food and drink are permitted

The following restrictions remain in place:

  • All spectators entering the arena will be required to show proof of double vaccination.  A current vaccination receipt and valid piece of identification are required for entry
  • ***As of Sunday October 31st EVERYONE 12 years of age and over will be required to show proof of double vaccination. This includes PLAYERS, COACHES, OFFICIALS AND VOLUNTEERS!!!***
  • Health screening to enter the arena remains in place.
  • Masks are mandatory for everyone who enters the arena and must be worn at all times including in the dressing rooms. They may be removed prior to participating. Coaches on the bench during games are required to wear masks
  • Entry into the arena is now permitted 30 minutes before and teams must leave 15 minutes after each ice time
  • It is very important to note that there are NO IN AND OUT PRIVILEGES.  Teams can not enter the arena and then leave for warm-up as they would be required to show proof of double vaccination again upon re-entry

To expedite the arena entry process, we recommend all vaccine eligible players and coaches/bench staff download a copy of their enhanced vaccination certificate with a QR code.  To download your certificate please go to:  https://covid-19.ontario.ca/get-proof/

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our hockey family safe and healthy!
