As our regular season begins to come to wind down, the OMHA playoffs begin!
Earlier in the season, the
Ontario Minor Hockey Association released the details of their new playoff
format.
Among the many highlights, the new Championships format will see everyone from U11 – U18 involved in playing more meaningful hockey into March.
These new Championships still keep the tradition of the coveted Red Hats alive. The Red Hats has become popular with everybody involved in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association. The ultimate prize in minor hockey remains the goal for all competing and will be distributed to the winning teams.
Leading up to the OMHA Championship Weekends, starting this year there will be important new league championships in each area. League playoffs will now turn into regional qualifying showdowns to see who moves on to compete for #RedHats. Further details can be found by clicking here. Coaches and convenors will have more information as it relates to your players team. Please continue to check your players schedule – playoff games have begun to get added.
Lastly, now that we are entering playoffs, parent passes will no longer work for playoff games. Everyone entering to watch a playoff game will be required to pay the gate fee.
