U11 Rep Team OMHA Champions!
Congratulations to the Lambeth U11 Rep Team who took home the OMHA U11 Tier 1 Championship Trophy in Barrie over the weekend! From the very beginning of the season, the coaching staff knew this was an extremely special team, as the talent of the players was evident with early season success.
More importantly, the coaches saw the players building friendships and chemistry as the season progressed, resulting in winning 3 tournaments including the Regional and International Silver Sticks tournaments.
Heading into the playoffs, the U11 squad continued to face tougher competition but seemed to always have enough resilience to pull out close games. Bringing all this experience and confidence to the OMHA Championships, the team battled hard every single game and ultimately advanced through to the quarterfinals where Lambeth beat Mt Brydges in OT. After another close 2-1 victory in the semis against Tillsonburg, it was off to the finals against competitive rival Walkerton, who had beaten Lambeth in the round robin 3-0. With the boys playing their hearts out and never taking a shift off, their grit and determination produced a 5-3 win to be named 2022 OMHA U11 Tier 1 Champions and claim the coveted Red Hat.
Special thanks to all the coaches and parents for the strong commitment to the team throughout the entire season.
This will be a season that these boys will always remember with pride!
