REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 27 @ 8AM
MARK YOUR CALENDARS - REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON JUNE 27 at 8 AM!
Registration will be available online 24/7 and offered on a first come, first served basis so it is important to register as soon as possible. Registration will close on July 15 at midnight or until the division is full, whichever comes first. Once a division is full a waitlist will be started.
If your player is on a waitlist, there is no guarantee a position will become available; although MHAL will endeavour to find space for waitlisted player, we are limited by overall registration numbers and ice availability.
OWHA (Girls) Players: Please review full registration details by clicking here.
Returning OMHA (Boys/Coed) Players: Please take the time to verify/update contact information on your player’s Hockey Canada profile in HCR 3.0 IN ADVANCE of registration. You will be asked to verify your address and ensure proof of residence is attached. Login to your HCR 3.0 account by clicking here.
New OMHA (U7 Initiation Program and Boys/Coed) Players: Please set up your HCR 3.0 account and link your player as outlined here IN ADVANCE of registration.
If you are registering different members from the same family for BOTH OWHA (Girls only) AND OMHA (Boys/Girls) hockey: These systems have separate logins and passwords and are NOT integrated. Please login to the HCR 3.0 system and register the the OMHA hockey player FIRST.
PARENT/GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
Parents/guardians registering their players are required to read through this material prior to registering. By registering for the season, the parent/guardian acknowledges their understanding of, and agreement with all the following:
Team Schedules and Information: Please check our website regularly for updates regarding tryouts, schedules, and other pertinent information. Information regarding funding programs, mandatory hockey equipment, and schedules can all be found on the website. Once the season has started, it is the parent’s responsibility to check their schedule weekly and sign up for text reminders, customizable team calendars, etc. MHAL is not responsible for missed games due to scheduling changes.
MHAL Policies: All Members of the MHAL, including parents, players and volunteers are required to familiarize themselves with, and abide by all MHAL policies, including the MHAL Code of Conduct. The documents can be found on our website home page on the right under Online Libraries and can be reviewed at the time of registration.
Rowan’s Law: Parents/Guardians are required to familiarize themselves with concussion protocol. This can be reviewed at the time of registration.
Possible Vaccination Mandates: As a reminder, it is extremely difficult to determine what the future months will bring - and even more challenging to write a one-size-fits-all policy/process to cover off every situation we may encounter. We are optimistic that we will not need to go down this path; however, both OMHA & OWHA
are still strongly recommending that everyone eligible to be vaccinated IS fully vaccinated prior to participation in sanctioned activities. Any participant who is not fully vaccinated and chooses to register must understand that if mandatory vaccinations return, those unvaccinated players will no longer be eligible to participate.
Tryout Schedules: The schedule and process will be posted on our website once ice and scheduling is confirmed. Any player/goalie wishing to try out for a REP (Boys) team must be signed up and paid in full, to be able to participate. Tryout fees apply. Please ensure you add the Tryout Fee for each player wishing to tryout when registering online.
Respect in Sport Parent Program: OMHA mandates that one parent/guardian of every player complete the Respect in Sport Parent Program. This is required ONE TIME ONLY. Due to OMHA regulations, players will not be allowed on the ice for any MHAL event until this course has been completed. There is a separate charge for
this course, paid to the Respect Group, which manages the online program.
Special Requests: The MHAL does not accept special requests to play for coaches or with friends. Our focus is ensuring players are placed appropriately according to skill level, in an attempt to ensure every player in the association has a fair and equitable season.
Refund Policy: Please refer to the Refund Policy posted on our website
