Lambeth Rep Hockey Eligibility

The OMHA has classified Lambeth Minor Hockey as a “B” Centre for Rep teams players registered with MHAL.  Lambeth players are eligible to tryout and play for higher level OMHA Centre teams provided the following criteria are met.

Note: Permission to Skate (PTS) forms may be requested by completing this form.  Non-Resident Player (NRP) forms will be available in April for the 2024-25 season

1.      AAA Hockey Centre

Our AAA centre is Elgin Middlesex Canucks and you must have a signed Permission to Skate (PTS) form to tryout. Eligibility begins with the U10 group (former Atom).  To tryout at a different AAA centre you must have a F1 form from the Canucks and a signed PTS from Lambeth for the new centre.

2.      A/AA Hockey Centres

Our A/AA centres are St. Thomas, Mt. Brydges, Dorchester, Strathroy and St. Mary's and you must have a Non-Resident Player (NRP) Passport to tryout. You are only permitted one, centre specific, NRP Passport per season.  Eligibility begins with the U12 group (former Peewee).  You are not eligible prior to U12.

3.      Hockey Association Membership

As per Hockey Canada policies, you can only play for one association at one time; you cannot play for another association such as Alliance or an “outlaw league”/private league at the same time that you are playing in Lambeth.  Playing for two or more associations will result in a board review and possible termination of your MHAL membership.

4.      Residency

You must be a resident of Lambeth or live within Lambeth boundaries to play Rep hockey in Lambeth.  Lambeth Rep hockey includes B and C teams and being an affiliated player (AP) for these teams.

5.      Use of NRPs for U18 players

The use of NRPs to play at another OMHA centre is only available if you tryout in Lambeth first and are cut and OMHA has advised of an approved centre accepting NRPs.

All eligibility is dictated by OMHA and Hockey Canada and is not up to the discretion of MHAL.
