Lambeth Lancers U18C2 team brings home silver and smiles from the Stratford Aces tournament.
It was an exciting first-season tournament for this team to finish second out of twelve teams over the weekend in Stratford. After four exciting games, they achieved the highest score differential and goals-for percentage and advanced to the semi-finals.
In the semi-final game, they evened up the score during regulation time, survived the three-on-three and emerged victorious in the shoot-out with some outstanding, high-stakes goaltending and one very elegant goal. In the final gold-medal game, the team, again, evened the score and advanced to overtime, and placed second in the end. There's plenty of great hockey and good memories yet to come for this team.
