Brodij Gerryts (1991) backstopped many a Lambeth team over the years winning an International Silver Stick and coming close to more than one OMHA Championship along the way.  George and Lynne still live in town while Brodij has graduated from Saunders and is now attending Sir Wilfrid Laurier University.

His love for the game of hockey, fostered right here in lovely Lambeth under the careful eyes of Dan Murray, Ed Spitters, Don Cook  and other long time coaches carries on.  Brodij is currently stopping nearly every puck sent his way by fast skating forwards and hard shooting Dmen in the Niagara and District Jr. C Western Division.

The New Hamburg Firebirds currently have first place locked down with a 16-1-3 record and Brodij is a big part of that with his 7-0, 2.93 G.A.A. and .914 save percentage.  Many of the boys are a long way from Beattie Street but the skills and thrills live on.

Brodij is only ONE of Lambeth’s 12 former players currently playing Junior Hockey in The Ontario Hockey Association.  A couple notables retired from pro hockey last year and the CIS also have a few Lambeth grads in and amongst their rosters.
