The Lambeth Lancers are excited to kick off the upcoming hockey season with the girls U9 prep and evaluation skates. The process will consist of 4 prep skates which will allow all players to get back on the ice and comfortable before the 3 evaluation skates.
We are very aware of the stress that is often paired with "evaluations" or "tryouts". Our philosophy when it comes to the U9 age group is more about pairing similar skilled players in groupings so coaches can structure their season development while minimizing the skill variance to the best of our abilities. U9 is often an introductory season for many players and being able to develop players at similar skill sets provides a greater chance for them to achieve personal success and grow their love of the game.
This year Lambeth is thrilled to ice four U9 teams. We envision two teams competing in the WOGHL C division and two teams competing in the WOGHL HL division. Both teams will experience some travel hockey to a number of nearby communities with furthest usually being in the Sarnia area. The first half of the season is half ice while the second half is a graduation to full ice hockey.
We encourage all players to participate in the prep and evaluation skates for the season. The cost is $100 for the 7 skates.
