Novice C Girls, 2016-2017, Girls (Lambeth Minor Hockey)

It came down to the last game, on the last weekend . . . but the girls got it done! After winning game 1 in Lambton by a score of 3 to 1, the series came back to Lambeth for two games.  With a heavy emphasis on defense by both teams, the teams tied the remaining two games with identical scores of 1 to 1.  Due to our big first game win, we won the overall series 4 points to 2.  

The Novice Girls put the pedal to the metal, and went 3-0-1 during the last two weekends to advance to more post season play!

The Novice Girls came up with a 3 -1 win on Saturday against a tough Lambton Attack team.  They had an even bigger win off the ice by raising $1276.35 for cancer research for Pink in the Rink!  A special thank you to all of the hockey moms (and dads) who helped out with raffle/auction items.  A "double thank you" to the parents and kids who worked the bake sale table for the entire morning.  This was a big day for the girls, and another example of our Lancer Spirit!

Our practice motto is "Work Hard, Play Hard", and the girls did that this weekend at the Festival Cup Tournament in Stratford.  For many girls this was their first hockey tournament, and like all good teams . . .  they got better with each game.
