Working Hard In Stratford!
Our practice motto is "Work Hard, Play Hard", and the girls did that this weekend at the Festival Cup Tournament in Stratford. For many girls this was their first hockey tournament, and like all good teams . . . they got better with each game.
We saw our girls really working hard to be '1st to the puck'; 'winning their battles'; and 'using the boards' to get the puck out of our end. All examples of things we've been working on during our practices...Well done girls!!
Although we were on the wrong end of the scoreboard, we were matched up against the strongest teams in our WOGHL league. We saw excellent goaltending by both goalies, and a higher team intensity level with each passing game.
The coaches are very proud of the effort everyone displayed this weekend, and we are looking forward to our next tournament in St. Thomas!
