The
Lambeth Atom B girls continued their tournament streak, by winning the
Stratford Aces tournament. After ringing up 4 round robin wins, including a 4 to 3 win over a tough Wilmot team, the girls took their perfect record up against a very difficult KV Ravens team from the USA. After battling hard all game, they were tied with less than a minute to go. A last second goal propelled them into the final. In the championship match, they faced a familiar foe in Lucan. It was a back and forth battle that included outstanding goaltending on both sides of the ice. With 46 seconds left in overtime, the Lancers snuck one past their Lucan rivals and won the gold.
Great work girls. A hard fought, well deserved championship.
