Atom Rep team Motown Cup Champions!!!!
The Atom Rep team travelled to Dearborn Michigan this past weekend to compete for the Motown Cup. The team started the tournament Friday afternoon and defeated Goulding Park 4-3 from North York. Then it was off to Joe Louis arena and the team saw the Washington Capitals defeat the Detroit Red Wings in a shoot out 5-4.
Saturday the team spotted Bowling Green Ohio Ice Cats a 2-0 lead before turning it around and coming home with a 11-2 win. An early morning game on Sunday was not what the boys or parents ordered and the boys came out flat and lost 6-4 to Wyandotte Warriors. The Warriors celebration caught the eye of the Lancers and they were sure that wouldn't happen again. The boys came out in the final playing the same Wyandotte team after some much needed rest and crushed them in the final 8-1 and winning the Motown Cup. Great effort all weekend boys!
