Try-outs for A or AA level Teams
Submitted By Fred Bauer on Wednesday, April 04, 2012
Peewee age and older players wishing to try-out for:
A - St. Thomas Stars; or
AA - London Jr. Knights
teams must register with Lambeth FIRST and also need a NRP Passport BEFORE attending a tryout.  For full details, please...

April 4 2012

NON RESIDENT PLAYER PASSPORT

The OMHA does permit players aged Peewee and older the opportunity to tryout at the A or AA level where designated.

Considerations:

1. A player may obtain a NRP Passport from MHAL only AFTER the player has registered to play the 2012/2013 season in Lambeth.

2. Careful consideration must be given to whether the player will tryout for A or AA because the NRP ONLY permits a tryout with ONE OR THE OTHER. In other words, if you tryout for AA and are not offered a spot, you are NOT permitted to then tryout for A.

3. The options for A and AA are already determined and are the ONLY options available. A – St Thomas, AA – London Junior Knights.

4. A NRP Passport is valid for ONE year. You must continue process each year. In other words, if you played under a NRP Passport during the 2011/2012 season your must register in Lambeth again and request a NRP Passport and go through 2012/2013 registration and tryout process in A or AA centre again.

Please keep in mind that you must register in Lambeth before picking up a NRP Passport. Please note that it is NOT a release but a form confirming registration in Lambeth and acknowledgement that the player is being afforded the opportunity to tryout for St Thomas A or London Junior Knights AA. (again – one or the other but NOT both)

VERY IMPORTANT

It is the players responsibility to ensure ALL of the registration and tryout requirements are met in A or AA centre before heading out to skate. For example, you may be required to register, pay for the season, pay for tryouts and later request a refund if not successful. Check the websites in St Thomas and LJK for registration and tryout details.
