Back to League Play With A 4-2 Win Over Lucan
Even with a 'short' bench, the Lancers skated to a convincing 4-2 win over the Lucan Irish Friday night in Lucan. Four different Lancers scored in a fast paced game that saw only 3 minor penalties called with two going to the home team. Caleb Millar in the Lambeth goal stopped 37 of 39 shots fired his way, 21 coming in the last period.
Cole Marshall opened the scoring mid-way through the first period, the recipient of some nice passing by his line mates Kyle Mackay and Justin McDougall. Mackay got the 2nd Lambeth goal a few minutes later on a nice feed from Brennan Shier and McDougall, who picked up his second helper on the night.
Defense pairings Riley Gilmore and Josh D'Andrea teamed up on Lambeth's 3rd goal with Gilmore scoring on a perfect 'bullet' from just inside the Lucan blueline. Brennan Shier closed out the Lambeth scoring late in the 3rd on a nice setup from workhorse Ryan Haruta.
The Lancers were without Calvin Delancey and Brett Jankura who were both sitting out 1 game suspensions and with high school exams just around the corner, Nick North and Mitch Chard spent the Knight studying.
