Final League Game A 3-3 Tie
The Major Midget playing their first game in more than 3 weeks, tied the Glencoe Ice Cats 3-3 Sunday night in Glencoe. Although a little rusty after the long layoff, the Lancers outplayed the Cats by a wide margin and should have come home with the win except for some steady goaltending from Doug White and Scott Trickers who shared duties in the Glencoe net.
Special teams accounted for all three Lambeth tallies with Brennan Shier and Liam Baughman scoring power play goals while Josh D'Andrea scored a short-handed marker on a slap shot from the blue line on a nice pass back by Justin McDougall.
Brennan Shier's goal was the result of some hard work around the net by Jarvis Millard and Cole Marshall while Baughman's goal into a wide open net was set up by Ryan Haruta and Kyle Mackay. Lambeth outshot Glencoe 37-18.
The Lancers now enter the league playoffs, a round-robin, home and home affair with Dorchester, St. Marys and Lucan to determine the two teams to play in the Shamrock finals. Game one is against Dorchester, Friday night February 25th in Dorchester. Game time is 9:30pm.
