Undefeated Streak Alive (as is the Reporter!)
I think, loyal readership, it was the late great British actor, Peter O'Toole who stated to his wife after going missing for weeks (partying and carousing with Sir Richard Burton) - "Why didn't you pay the ransom?"  I have no such excuse and, after a long and lengthy work to rule campaign, contracts have been settled and, more importantly, the Lambeth Novice Boys have kept the undefeated streak alive!

It started on a cool, delightfully crisp November night as the red hot South Huron Sabres came to town.  Both teams were riding 10 game winning streaks so the crowd anticipated a hotly contested game.  The teams did not disappoint.  The strong skating Sabres rushed out early and scored two early markers, their speed catching Lambeth by surprise.  The always quotable and eloquent Coach Moir stated, "they were ready, we were not." But Lambeth, as always, clawed back and, with the most exciting goal of the year, Dylan Dundas streaked down the right wing and scored a beauty with only one second left in the first period.  Shut the front door!  The teams went back and forth for the rest of the game, the strong Lambeth forecheck and defensive pinching keeping the pressure on the slick skating Sabres.  The man beast (Noah Nelson) tied the score, assisted by Josh Troop as a result of some hard work and the game was tied.  The third period solved nothing and a tie was what the denziens of Lambeth arena were left to savour.  Coach Moir couldn't have painted a more descriptive or colourful picture as he said, "it was a good game."
Who doesn't love Yahtzee?!  Many a wintery night were spent by this young lad by a cozy hearth rolling the bones of chance with his Grandmother (who often cheated).  It was much the same for the Lambeth coaching staff who, after a 5-0 exhibition loss to Ingersoll, decided to roll the dice and switch up the lines.  The results were all good after a 7-2 win over arch-rival Mt. Brydges.  The new line of Moir, Santagapita and Irwin had the most 5 of a kinds and ended with Moir, 1 goal, 4 assists, Santagapita, 1 goal, 2 assists and Irwin, potting 2 goals.  The new line of Dundas, Graham and Nelson also had a hot night with Dundas collecting a goal and an assist, Nelson scoring 2 goals and Graham helping out with 2 assists.  The new "junkyard dog" line of Troop, Pigeon and Reif skated hard all night and showed lots of promise.  The Wall of Ty-Na and his collection of tiny stonewalls, Kelly, Milne, Basilio, Smale and Slota did their jobs and limited the Cougars chances.  The fan of the last week of November was probably Jen Nelson (it's a little fuzzy) whose bubbly and effervescent personality is always a welcome addition to any arena.  Get ready for Strathroy, Mooretown and Dorchester updates soon!  (Unless writer's block or the Captain gets in the way).
