A determined group of 12 skaters made the trek to the banks of the St. Clair river for an early season tilt with the Storm. The tight confines of the Mooretown rink didn't hurt the chances of the depleted lineup for Lambeth, as the momentum of the game changed back and forth for the first 2 periods. The teams traded goals with Moose Haruta starting the Lancer charge on a well placed one-timer. With Mooretown up 2-1 Ryan Gough hammered home a seeing-eye slap shot from the blue line to send the boys to the dressing room tied at the end of the 2nd. A 6 minute power play for the home squad proved to be the difference as the Storm scored twice on the man advantage and powered past the Lancers 5-2.

As the 3rd period drew to a close the Lambeth fans had some anxious moments as Brandon Neves was hit awkwardly on a violent charge. As he was carried to the dressing room by his team mates, coach Ken Waller would only confirm Brandon had suffered a "Lower Body Injury". Brandon is wished a speedy recovery by all.
