All good things come to an end, and the Lancers undefeated over their last 10 games were certainly on a roll. As the boys from Lambeth discovered first hand......so were the Cougars.
The referee made sure that 16 and 17 year olds would determine the outcome of the game, as the sin bin doors only admitted 3 offenders during the course of the game.
The Cougars dominated the first frame with both territorial advantage and a goal for their efforts. While the Lancers pushed back in the second, and enjoyed most of the puck possession, they did not benefit from nearly enough goal scoring opportunities, as most of their shots were either blocked or sailed wide. By the end of three the Lancers found themselves shut out for the first time this season, as Mt. Brydges posted a convincing 3-0 win.
