Journey to the Dragon's Den
The Dorchester Dragons, owners of the best Goals For and Against stats in the Shamrock league, laid in wait for the Lambeth Lancers on Friday night. The only blemish on the Dragons undefeated season was a 2-2 tie with the Lancers in early October.

The Lancers, winless in the first 5 matches of the season, were riding a 2 game winning streak and determined to keep rolling. The Lancers coaching staff had recently juggled their lines in pursuit of more offence, and the set of Zach Waller, Nick Hilborn and Ryan Haruta seemed to find instant chemistry.

An unfortunate deflection in the first period, beat Ian Gough to open the scoring for the Dragons. Moose Haruta replied at the start of the second with the only power play goal of the game for the Lancers to knot the game at ones. Two minutes later Liam Baughman put Lambeth in front on a setup from Jarvis Millard.

The third period saw Nick Hilborn stake out a 2 goal lead for the Lancers on a Zach Waller pass, while Ryan Haruta provided the winning goal 3 minutes later on a Zach Waller feed. The Dragons managed to find some life scoring a short handed goal with 5 minutes remaining in the third, but ultimately suffered the first loss of the season 4-2 at the hand of the Lancers.

The referees once again were the story of the game as two of the better skating teams in the league were unable to establish much pace due to the frequency of penalties.
