Major Midget, 2011-2012, Rep (Lambeth Minor Hockey)

The Laker clan hoped the town named after Sir William Wallace would offer refuge for their Major Midgets stinging from a 4 - 2 loss a week earlier. The invaders from the east however swarmed the battlements, and laid seige to their foe, enjoying a 28 - 13 shot advantage in the opening two periods.

The pursuit of an OMHA Championship is more often than not an elusive goal. It is a standard by which we measure ourselves. It is a vision that we revere to imbue our hearts with the perseverance required to vanquish both our foes and our fears. The Lancer Quest for glory began exactly a fortnight from the dawn of the Year 2012.

All good things come to an end, and the Lancers undefeated over their last 10 games were certainly on a roll. As the boys from Lambeth discovered first hand......so were the Cougars.

Neither 60 minutes of driving snow nor 25 minutes of futile offense could break the Lambeth Lancer resolve, as the Major Midgets stuck with their game plan enroute to a 5-1 victory over Waterford.

The boys in burgandy battled the Lakers in Petrolia in their opening game of the Silver Stick regional tournament. Determined to show themselves as a better team than the one that eekd out a 4-3 victory earlier in the month against Wallaceburg, Lambeth hit the ice firing on all cylinders.
